Voice Clash listens to you say the word shown on screen and uses Apple's Speech Recognition framework to check whether you said it correctly. The mini-games use the microphone on your device too: Copycat rates your imitation with Apple's on-device sound classifier, Shout measures how loud you are, Pitch Match measures the pitch of your voice, and the others check your spoken answers the same way as the main game. Audio is processed on the spot and never saved. Without microphone and speech recognition permission, the core gameplay can't work.
Arena mode lets you play against up to 8 phones on the same Wi-Fi network. Local network access is used only to discover and connect to nearby devices for that mode — no data leaves your local network.

Copycat's Animals group is free and unlimited. Every other Copycat group, and every other mini-game, can be played a few times by watching a short rewarded ad, up to three ads each a day. Premium opens every mini-game and every Copycat group, including the "All sounds" mix, with no limits and no ads.
